The sun fell perfectly on the steeple, filtering into the church through its tall glass and filling it with peaceful anticipation. In town from Seattle, Devin and Kevin exchanged their vows to one another just off the heals of Christmas in an intimate family affair here at the First Universalist Church in Southold. The mark of “the beginning” as the little ones peeked around the corner with Easter basket of flower petals in hands, and I reveled in the moments as they unfolded on Devin and Kevin’s special day. Here are a few favorites of mine to share. Many thanks to Ashley O’Neil Events for transforming the space with beautiful strung lights and the most elegant pizza party you’ve ever seen! Thanks also to Clarks Garden in Greenport and Rachel Croneymeyer Cakes & Confections. And THANK YOU to Devin and Kevin for welcoming me into their wedding, bringing focus to all of life’s blessings and the grace of love… a perfect close to my 2014 season. Warmest wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!
Katie and ChrisIn a love daze…attached at the hip, fulfilled in every sense, surrounded by the joy that friends and family bring, and just the right amount “lit”…what’s better than that? Katie and Chris savored their evening long feast at The Liberty Wharehouse pier. The warmth of this historic interior richly illuminated the celebration, and the vibrance of Laura Lea & Tripp Fabulous set the night on fire. Working alongside the talent of Kiss The Bride Cinematographers, we had a blast capturing every candy moment of Katie and Chris’ big day. I think the peace in their faces above sums it all up, so cheers to photos worth a thousand words! ENJOY!
Many thanks to my second shooter and friend, Nadira Vlaun.

Bari & Blake ENGAGED! Novemeber 9, 2013Now this was exciting! I got a phone call from Bari’s father on Friday, asking me to go to Bedell on Saturday to capture Blake’s marriage proposal. I got to the vineyard and discovered that they were alone up in the loft, which is basically like a tiny little nest overlooking the tasting room with only point of access…not exactly easy to “spy” on them without being noticed! Nonetheless, I lingered nearby, peeking through small openings and appearing to everyone else in the tasting room to be some kind of strange stalker. But Holy Cow was it awesome to capture the moment as it went down! He got on one knee and I quickly hopped up the stairs a bit closer…I could have literally been 2 feet away from her at that point and she wouldn’t have noticed me. Crazy Exciting. They shared their moment before I made it known to her that I was photographing them, but then it got even even better…. as they stood at the top of their stairs, in a heaven of their own, their families began to make their way up the stairs to bring yet another surprise! It was such a wonderful celebration, shared with their families, and what an amazing honor to be there and capture such raw emotion. I can’t help but smile from ear to ear every time I look at these photos.
